This is a final year University project part of an Elective module where we were given freedom to re-design a packaging design proposal for either a vinyl cover and elements, skincare or food packaging that included a series design as well as any additional elements.
For this project, I undertook the rebranding of Twinings' Superblend teas. I selected three flavours to redesign and chose to market them as part of a gift set. This set includes a bespoke gift box and a welcome card featuring instructions on how to brew the perfect cup of tea.
The visual concept draws inspiration from watercolours mixing in water, symbolising both the infusion of tea into hot water and the unique blend of flavours within each tea. This design approach was brought to life using Photoshop, where I carefully manipulated images to align with the packaging and the distinct characteristics of each tea flavour.
The primary users of Twinings' Superblend teas are health-conscious individuals who value quality and wellness. These teas appeal to those seeking a balanced lifestyle, often prioritising natural ingredients and unique flavour combinations. With their emphasis on premium quality and holistic benefits, the gift set also caters to tea enthusiasts and gift-givers looking for a sophisticated yet thoughtful present.
Sustainability is a cornerstone of Twinings' brand values and this is reflected in the packaging for this rebrand. The gift box is crafted from brown recycled materials, aligning with Twinings' commitment to reducing environmental impact. By choosing eco-friendly and biodegradable materials, Twinings reinforces its dedication to sustainability while offering users a product that is as mindful of the planet as it is of their well-being.
