This is a final year University project part of an Advanced Editorial module where we were given freedom to design a proposal for a print newspaper that included an infographics article treatment and a feature article as well as regular newspaper elements.
The Queer Agenda, is a unique monthly independent newspaper dedicated to celebrating the vibrant art community and aims  to spotlight artists within the queer community, offering a fresh perspective and fostering a deeper understanding of their work and its significance.
It is more than just a publication for queer artists; it's a platform for all artists within the queer community. Each issue is packed with insightful interviews, engaging features, and thought-provoking articles that delve into queer art and its impact on the wider cultural landscape.
A highlight of our newspaper is the pullout section, The Reading Agenda. This mini newspaper focuses on local exhibitions in the Reading and Berkshire area, providing detailed coverage and reviews. From showcasing the "Exhibition of the Month" with in-depth spreads to listing current installations, The Reading Agenda is your go-to guide for discovering local art.
The mission of The Queer Agenda is to present queer artists in a positive light, bringing queer issues to the forefront of mainstream news. However, The Queer Agenda is not only for the queer community. It's for everyone with an interest in art and the diverse communities from which these pieces originate.
